On behalf of the National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA) and its Board of Directors we are excited to celebrate our "5 Year Anniversary," and our 3rd Annual “Building the Latina Business Women Conference," which will be held in La Jolla, California on November 20, 2008.
The NLBWA Annual Conference is a one day event that draws business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals from across the country. We will provide content driven panels that offer quality tools for success for up and coming business owners and those who need a jump start in their business or profession. This year, for the first time, NLBWA will be awarding three (3) “Member of The Year” scholarship awards, sponsored by Northwestern Mutual. One scholarship will be in the amount of $3,000 and two for $1,000 each.
During our Latina luncheon we will pay tribute to exceptional Latina members from each of our six chapters; Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, Atlanta Georgia and the Inland Empire. We are extremely excited that Atlanta launched on December 4, 2007, officially making NLBWA a national organization and that the Inland Empire launched on April 24, 2008. Furthermore, we are working hard to form a chapter by the end of the year in Fresno and plans are on their way to launch three more chapters next year in Las Vegas, Texas and Chicago.
In five short years we are proud to be part of a growing National organization and thank our National Board of Directors, our faithful sponsors, our ever-growing chapters, our fearless volunteers and our members for their contribution in making NLBWA one of the fastest growing Latina business organizations across the country.
